TSPROF Blitz Pro sharpening set

TSPROF Blitz Pro is the professional version of the compact knife sharpener. Blitz Pro, an indispensable assistant for sharpening most knives, from the smallest folding knives to large kitchen knives. The overall size of the device is 13x12x12cm and its weight is only 1.5 kg. It is easy to take with you on a friendly outing in nature, conveniently stored at home.

Blitz Pro is equipped with a rotary mechanism Flip-n-Sharp, which allows you to sharpen the knife without removing it from the clamps. The permissible error when turning the frame is 0.4°. A unique feature of the device is the V.C. Angleset system. The angle setting on the Blitz is done by moving the knife relative to the virtual center. That gives additional comfort during sharpening and reduces the impact of abrasive on the cutting edge.

The body of the Blitz Pro has a black anodized coating, made according to the international standard Qualanod. Anodizing gives the sharpener a stylish appearance, strengthens the aluminum structure and increases corrosion resistance. Due to the peculiarities of the anodizing process, the shade of the coating may vary on different parts.

Blitz Pro is equipped with all-milled aluminum clamps, which are made of high-strength aircraft aluminum with black anodizing. The clamps move along the entire length of the frame in one motion and allow for the most precise positioning of the knife. Due to the monolithic design of the clamps, they have an increased resistance to abrasive pressure, thus ensuring constant angles at all stages of work, from deburring to finishing. The clamps do not require calibration and adjustment to blades with different geometries. They make it possible to sharpen kitchen knives, folding knives, hunting knives, multitool knives with the thickness of the edge up to 4.5 mm. The frame length of 105 mm allows sharpening a knife with a blade length of up to 280 mm. The clamps are adjustable with a 2.5 mm L-key.

A distinctive feature of the Blitz Pro version is the hinge assembly, which is not limited by the dimensions of the body. The 360 swivel unit gives you complete freedom when sharpening. The range of sharpening angles with the 360 joint is increased to 70° (35° per side). This significantly extends the range of knives that can be sharpened. The abrasive guide is mounted in the hinge unit with a clearance of only 0.02 mm. Silent running of the guide gives a new level of comfort when working.

The abrasive holder rod is made of steel, and the holder stops, connecting sleeve and limiter are made of black anodized aluminum. The rod allows to fix abrasives on blanks up to 150 mm long.

The set with the device includes five electroplated diamond plates with different grain sizes:
Extra Coarse (≈F150) – a coarse preparatory sharpening that will help shape the shape of the knife’s undercut.

Coarse (≈F220) – the next stage, after the formation of the general profile of the approach .
Medium (≈F400) – removes the micro-saw, formed during the previous stages.
Fine (≈F600) – completes the main sharpening and such sharpening is enough to cut tender tomatoes and not to get dull from rope cutting.
Very Fine (≈F1000) – even finer sharpening of the cutting edge to the state of “hair planing”.
Recommendations for use: the inserts work without the use of coolants and water.
Due to the peculiarities of production, the width and length of the abrasive may have deviations from the values specified in the description up to 5%.
Attention! Brushes require careful work: do not press on the abrasive during sharpening (especially when sharpening the tip/ankle of the knife), do not allow to break off the plane of the blade feed and fall the brush on a hard surface.
