Stabicap is a stabilised maple cap, which is wood impregnated with a polymer compound. The manufacturing technology allows the creation of products with a unique pattern that are highly durable and long-lasting. This material is not affected by temperature and humidity changes, does not crack, does not deform, does not change its geometric shape, withstands heating up to 90-100 °C, does not absorb water (no more than 4%, untreated wood absorbs 30-35% under the same conditions), has high hardness and strength, is easily processed by turning, milling, planing, and polishes well (to a lacquer shine).
