Diamond VeAl double-sided diamond bar (S) 50/40-20/14 (OSB) 100%

Venevsky Diamond Factory premium series bar on a flat aluminum plate. The abrasive layer on this plate is not sintered, but glued to the plate body. Already out of the box such a bar is ready to work, it does not require leveling on silicon carbide. The bar is suitable for basic sharpening.

The 50/40 side is made on organic binder B2-01. The organic binder consists of phenol-formaldehyde resins and various compositions based on them. Which, when hot pressed, are bakelized into a hard and strong enough substance to hold the cutting grains in the working layer of the tool. At the same time, such a bond will be strong and ductile enough, but not stiff enough. Abrasive grinding powders such as boron carbide are added to make it stiff.

Side 20/14 is made on a new modernized OSB bond. The difference between the OSB bond and others is that no boron carbide is used. In addition, the abrasive layer on it is not sintered, but glued to the body of the metal plate. The absence of unnecessary inclusions of other abrasives makes it possible to do softer and finer work. Already out of the box such a bar is ready for work, it does not require leveling on silicon carbide. OSB bonding is ideal for hard steel on small corners.

Stone size: 150x24x12mm.

Grain size 1 side: 50/40 microns.

Because of manufacturing, abrasive widths and lengths may vary up to 5% from the values specified in the description.

Recommendations for use:

You can work on this binder with either soapy water or oil. The manufacturer himself recommends working with water or soapy water, but working with oil gives an excellent result in terms of cleanliness of the process itself, without leaving such a large amount of water suspension.

WARNING!The brushes require careful handling: do not press on the abrasive during sharpening (especially when sharpening the tip/ankle of a knife), do not allow the blade to come off the blade feed plane and do not drop the brush on a hard surface.
