The TSPROF Quick eccentric clamp allows to securely clamp knives with thicknesses from 1 to 7 mm and reduces the clamping time by a factor of 2². Precise Calculation The design of TSPROF clamps is stress calculated using the finite element method. The material thickness and structural elements are designed so that the stresses are uniformly distributed along the length of the clamp. Uniform stress distribution results in uniform clamping of the jaws when clamping. Also the design of the clamp takes into account the increased requirements for wear resistance and friction force in the threaded connection, so especially for TSPROF Quick clamps the brass nut with increased³ wear resistance is made. SAFETY Most injuries during sharpening occur when hands are moving in the sharpening work area, including when clamping/unclamping the knife. Thanks to the new clamping method, the number of manipulations in the danger zone is reduced and the knife can be clamped and withdrawn from the clamps even with one hand. DURABILITY To reduce the wear of mating parts, the clamping foot in the clamp and the clamping foot itself have the same radius of rounding. This allows the clamping foot to “glide” over the clamping surface even during thickness adjustment, even under heavy load, thus maintaining its original appearance for a longer time. The clamp as well as the clamping foot are made of aircraft aluminum alloy of high strength.
