Boride Ruby F150 stone, on a letterhead
Pre-order 14 days
Description
Boride Ruby stone - used for rough skinning and fast shaping of the cutting edge. It is made of zirconium aluminum oxide, ceramic bonded. Works productively, removes a large amount of metal. Aluminum oxide abrasive sharpening is good for most kitchen knives, carpentry tools, hunting knives, and everyday carry knives. Aluminum oxide works better than silicon carbide on steels below 58 HRC and any mild stainless steel. Works well and gently on 60-61 HRC steels as well, but not as fast as silicon carbide. It is intended for deburring and rough sharpening.
Grit (FEPA, grit): F150.
Material: zirconium aluminum oxide
Stone size: 150x25x6 mm
Size with blank: 160x25x9 mm
Scuffs and light white stains are allowed on the working surface of the stone. These do not affect the performance of the abrasive. Small chips are allowed, which do not affect the working surface of the stone.
Recommendations for work: Clean the stone from impurities in water, with a stiff brush and soap solution. The stones are leveled on thick glass using silicon carbide powder.
