Set of diamond sharpening stones, VeAl, 150 mm (3 pcs)

Diamond bars of Russian production from Venyevsky factory of diamond tools. Unlike abrasive stones, diamond stones wear much less, so it is recommended to work with hard steels. They are made on an organic bond.

The sides are marked with the value of grit on the GOST scale. Sharpening on diamond stones does not require special oil – it is enough to slightly moisten it with water. The set consists of 3 bars, with 100% concentration of diamond grains, it allows you to quickly and qualitatively perform almost the whole range of tasks on sharpening knives, starting from skinning operations, ending with the final polishing of the RK.

Double-sided diamond bar, 150x24x12 mm, 160/125 – 100/80 µm, 100%, diamond layer thickness: 1 to 2 mm.

Side 160/125 is made on organic bond B2-01. Organic binder consists of phenol-formaldehyde resins and various compositions based on them. Which, when hot pressed, are bakelized into a hard and sufficiently strong substance that holds the cutting grains in the working layer of the tool. At the same time, such a bond will be strong and ductile enough, but not stiff enough. To make it stiff, abrasive grinding powders, such as boron carbide, are added. The abrasive layer on this plate is not sintered, but glued to the body of the plate. Already out of the box such a bar is ready to work, it does not require leveling on silicon carbide.

Side 100/80 is made on organic bond B1-10. Organic binder consists of phenol-formaldehyde resins and various compositions based on them. Which are hot-pressed bakelized into a hard and strong enough substance that holds the cutting grains in the working layer of the tool. At the same time, such a bond will be strong and ductile enough, but not stiff enough. To make it stiff, abrasive grinding powders, such as boron carbide, are added. The abrasive layer on this plate is not sintered, but glued to the body of the plate. Already out of the box such a bar is ready to work, it does not require leveling on silicon carbide.

Side 50/40 is made on organic binder B2-01. The organic binder consists of phenol-formaldehyde resins and various compositions based on them. Which, when hot pressed, are bakelized into a hard and sufficiently strong substance that holds the cutting grains in the working layer of the tool. At the same time, such a bond will be strong and ductile enough, but not stiff enough. To make it rigid, abrasive grinding powders are added, for example, boron carbide.

Side 20/14 is made on a new modernized OSB bond. The difference between the OSB bond and others is that it does not use boron carbide. In addition, the abrasive layer on it is not sintered, but glued to the body of the metal plate. The absence of unnecessary inclusions of other abrasives makes it possible to do softer and finer work. OSB bonding is ideal for hard steel on small corners.

Both sides of the bar are made on the new modernized OSB bond. The difference of OSB bond from others is that it does not use boron carbide. In addition, the abrasive layer on it is not sintered, but glued to the body of the metal plate. The absence of unnecessary inclusions of other abrasives makes it possible to do softer and finer work. OSB bonding is ideal for hard steel on small corners.

Because of the peculiarities of production, the width and length of the abrasive may have deviations from the values specified in the description up to 5%.

Recommendations for work: sharpening should be done with soap foam or water. To clean the bar from salting, use water and a brush. Leveling to produce on glass with silicon carbide powder, to finish the bar use diamond paste.

Attention! Bar requires careful work: do not put pressure on the abrasive during sharpening (especially when sharpening the tip/ankle of the knife), do not allow tearing off the plane of the blade and falling of the bar on a hard surface.
